First of all I hate to say equipment makes a difference. In other words you can’t have a cheap camera and expect it to take great shots.It just isn’t equipped enough to do that. As a San Diego wedding photographer I have had to learn that only cameras made to take photos at night will work. It doesn’t specifically have to be made for the night, but it should have the ability.This tip could be very expensive to follow. But as soon as you get over that you can take better night shots.
Second tip is to not be over-reliant on the flash capability of a camera. If you have taken any night shots you will know what I am talking about. It is something I had to learn as a San Diego photographer not to rely on the flash. Instead you have to rely on your camera and it’s features.Learn the capabilities of your camera and know also the circumstances where it will work best. This is good for beginners since you can preprogram your camera to take better photos.
Finally, buy or acquire a lens that will lessen the possibility of a camera shake.Taking photos in many events already, I realized that this problem can be a headache. Why do I say a wedding photographer is so crucial? The fact that I am a San Diego wedding photographer doesn’t make me biased.A photographer is needed because they have the important job of chronicling the events of that special day through photos. And if he or she is a good one they will do it well. When I say do it well I don’t mean just point and click. Anybody can do that. No a photographer who can do it well is someone who can turn the photos into something memorable.
That’s why you just don’t pick someone randomly to do the job.You have to have an artist. Because being able to catch such an important moment in time is an art. Being able to convey the joy and emotions of that day is a gift.If you have plans on hiring one then they should have the ability to do that.
